N\u00e3o tem todas as esquisitices dos autores do genial &#8220;It&#8217;s A Wonderful Life&#8221;, mas o primeiro disco, rec\u00e9m-lan\u00e7ado, &#8220;Trading Twilight For Daylight&#8221; (maio de 2007), se aproxima bastante.<\/p>\n<p>A banda \u00e9 de 2004 e foi formada por Solon Bixler (guitarra e vocal), Rachel Stolte (pianos e vocal)\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0os fundadores e amigos de longa data\u00a0-, al\u00e9m de Davey Latter (baterista) e Ashley Dzerigian (baixista). Eles s\u00e3o americanos, mas pelo som n\u00e3o d\u00e1 para dizer que nasceram na ensolarada Los Angeles, California. A primeira do disco, &#8220;Our Bleeding Hearts&#8221;, como o nome indica, \u00e9 angustiante. O resto segue a mesma linha.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 373px; height: 243px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/flogase.zip.net\/images\/greatnorthern1.jpg?resize=459%2C291\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"0\" width=\"459\" height=\"291\" align=\"baseline\" \/><\/p>\n<p>O Great Northern tem a virtude de usar instrumentos pouco usuais em musica pop e realmente conseguir fazer m\u00fasica pop.\u00a0\u00c9 trilha de novela, em momentos rom\u00e2nticos do casal principal; \u00e9 trilha de filme independente; \u00e9 indie pop, dessas\u00a0que voc\u00ea j\u00e1 est\u00e1 acostumado a ouvir; \u00e9 uma boa surpresa, \u00e9 f\u00e1cil de ouvir e de gostar.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m do Sparklehorse, talvez pelos vocais de Rachel Stolte seja poss\u00edvel lembrar de Joy Zipper (ou\u00e7a &#8220;Home&#8221;).
